Lord of the flies
chapter 8 and 9

I thought that it was very wild when lord of the flies was talking to Simon it made me think that like if I were on that Island that I would probably go crazy. And I think that Golding really made me think about the theme of the book. I think that Golding chose Simon should be the one that would talk to the pigs head because Simon is kind of the odd man out if the bunch .He is the one that goes off by him self in the woods into his secret place. He was nice bit he could also tell the truth and not take sides he believes in the person that he thought is telling the truth. The pig talked about how jacks tribe will try to destroy Ralph’s tribe. He also says the big thing that he is the beast. He mocks everyone on the island, he says that he is the beast he says that “you thought you could kill me you thought you could hunt me but you cant I am inside of all of you “When he said that it meant that we all have a good and a bad side in all of us .that reveals the theme of the book GOOD VS EVIL.
I think that Simon’s death was cause by all the hysteria on the island. The talk about the beast and how it looks. So we were all very scared. When Sam and Eric came screaming out of the woods they said that they had seen the beast and that it had claws and huge teeth and red eyes and that it tried to eat them. Also when the boy with the scar in the beginning of the book first brought up the beast. I think it all went wrong when We first chose who would be chief when Ralph was chosen jack automatically had a grudge against him .Ever since he was chosen jack has hated him has picked fights him , I think that led to all of the crazy things that have happened so far . So that is my claim I think that the beast caused all of this craziness that is happening now in the book.
