QUESTION 1: Make up a motto that one of the characters seems to live by. How and why does this fit the character?

RESPONSE 1:
I think that gerald the main character in this book lives by the "motto Never give up" because he has been through all the things such as abuse having his mom go to prison ,having to move in with his aunt having his aunt die on him after raising him for 6 years of her loving care. Also one of the hardest thing having to put up with his stepfather witch he can not trust.And all of this while having to protect his step sister Angel. thats why I think that this is why Gerald lives by the motto "Never give up".


QUESTION 2:What other character(s) beside the main character is really important to the story? How and why?

RESPONSE 2:
Angle is very important to this story because she is the one who keeps Gerald coming back to the house he feels that he has to protect her from all the dangers in their life. If she was not their Gerald would probably not be there with Monique and Jordan Sparks at their apartment he would probably be with rob and his father ,and rob probably would not have died in that car crash so therefore without Angel Gerald's step sister this book would be a lot different.
